Stylish Japanese Streetwear Sneakers
Japanese Streetwear
Which country is better placed than Japan to make streetwear? Which country has such iconic cities nowadays? New York is a shadow of its former self, but Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka are still the same, their spirit hasn’t changed. The Japanese streets are the most iconic: the Shibuya crossing, any street in kabukicho or shinjuku is a constant inspiration. It’s in this frantic and buzzing environment that these sneakers take root. They are the very essence of what streetwear is: a youth subculture inspired by urban jungles. There is a great attention to detail on the shoe, in fact streetwear is distinguished by its prints (often on t-shirts) and we wanted to recreate this impression with the inscription on the sole, which gives a dynamic and trendy effect.
Stylish sneakers
These sneakers are the expression of the Japanese style: colorful but sober, standing out without staining, in short a masterpiece of good taste. Japan is the country behind many revolutions, and when it is not the origin, it simply appropriates things and makes them better: noodles are of Chinese origin, but Japan has brought the world much better noodles. And it’s the same in many fields: waffles, pancakes and even toilets, Japan perfects everything it touches. Streetwear is no exception, while the United States and the hip hop culture gave birth to streetwear in the 1990s, they abandoned it in the 2000s, while Japan continued to make it evolve with its customs and mores. American streetwear stopped with oversized clothes, baggy jeans and printed t-shirts while Japanese streetwear is totally in the era of time, worn by young people nowadays in the most trendy districts of Tokyo: from Harajuku to Shibuya.
