The samurai was a member of the warrior class that ruled feudal Japan for nearly 700 years, including its most notable period, the Edo period. They were noble warriors following a very strict code, that of bushido, the way of the warrior. These pants are inspired by the greatness of these warriors, for whom death was preferable to dishonor. This heavy heritage has not been neglected in the design of these pants. The samurai needed a great freedom of movement as well as wide pants so that the movement of their feet (and thus their attack posture) is not discernible. We wanted to honor the spirit of these legendary warriors by respecting what they wanted for war.
Japanese most iconic warrior
Samurai are part of the identity of Japan, they have shaped the country for centuries and made it what it is today: a country with a worldwide influence, an image of seriousness and honor without equal. They are probably the first thing people think of when they talk about Japan. Their code of honor can still be found today in many fields, even outside Japan! The code ruling the majority of martial arts is based on bushido. This pant honors this millennial history of the land of the rising sun by respectfully revisiting what was worn by the most iconic Japanese warriors.
